    Theft of Furrion Rear Camera?

I just received my Furrion Vision S to install on the rear of recently purchased Imagine 2670MK. Does anybody worry about these being stolen? Do you remove them when you store the camper? Does anyone use any kind of security fasteners something like a torq with a security button - type/size? I know that you have to get up high to get to it so that is a deterrent. I also know that the security fasteners are not fail safe but again just add a level of deterrence.

    Thanks,

    Buckaroo

I haven't worried about the camera.
    In storage no problems.
A tiny security torx might work, haven't looked for any.

After having installed it I would say that there is no protecting it....if someone wants it, they can just rip if off the wall or drill out the plastic around the screw heads. So maybe I just remove it to protect it from the weather when I store the camper for the winter. I did a search and didn't find any discussion about thievery associated with the cameras so I guess it's not a thing. Thanks for the input. Buckaroo

Not sure about that model camera but earlier models were paired at the factory so the camera is useless without the monitor. Not sure thieves would know that but "it's just a camera so not worth much."

Haha. They're not worth much even with the monitor.

X2^^. A thief is more likely to go for propane tanks and the like before climbing up to steal a camera they can't use.

You know Jim, I have to regrettably agree with you....nice to see if someone is tailgating while going down the road but other than that its nice but not a valuable tool. Maybe if I was backing into a hole without wifey guiding me maybe it would help a little...but...I dunno

If you were to leave the camera turned on it would it show the thief’s face ?
