    Wheel stabilizer wheel chocks

Hi members, can anyone recommend a set of wheel stabilizer chocks (thinking of Maxchock w/carrying case, drill powered) had 28’ Flagstaff with old airstream lever type that I loved but my Brand new 2970RL wheels are to far apart, they don’t even touch tires. Thanks, Midnight…

Welcome to the forum. I use the black rubber chocks from Harbor Freight Tools. The risk with the chocks that push against both wheels is the potential to bend the axle if you tighten the chock too much. If you do plan to use those, x chocks are popular, I really have no experience using any of them though.

Have a look at Northern Tool & Equipment chocks. They have a metal handle and are solid.

Check these out they work great. The trailer can not move at all with them in place. You can also put a padlock on them so they can not be removed preventing anyone from steeling your trailer.

If you use the x styl chock you still need to use the tire chocks on the ground. The stabilizing x style are not meant to stop the rolling as they do loosen up with inside movement. Xchocks are clearly stated in their paperwork (most don't read it) they are not to be used without tire chocks. Our X chocks need tightening after a couple days of moving about in the trailer.

Plus one for the HF black rubber chock

Thank you so much for the quick reply's. I will use chock blocks plus the stabilizers. I also would rather be firmly seated with no chance of movement. Thanks again. Midnight…

The rubber wheel chocks are used to prevent rolling when attaching and de-taching from the truck, they don't help with movement

We use X-chocks and they do help quite a bit but do not eliminate movement, in fact we also use the Mfg installed stabilizers and still get some movement...

The x-chocks should only be installed after the trailer is leveled, per the Mfg instructions

    Enjoy
