    Simple.
BUT that is simply not true. Sailun, Hercules and EVEN the Westlake G rated tires are all pretty great in reality.

Sir: your perception is not reality. STUDY the many many many posts regarding Westlake failures.

I"m sure I'm wrong but I haven't read any reports of a failure from a g rated Westlake tire yet. Have read a lot of good reports about the g rated Westlakes though.

ALL tires can fail. If all Grand Design trailers come with Westlakes and you are on a Grand Design forum what tire failures do you think you are going to HEAR about?????
This is my second fifth wheel trailer, G rated Westlakes on both. Towed over 15,000 miles on the first trailer, over 7000 miles on the current fifth wheel, no tire issues whatsoever.

I am from a farm/ranch in Wyoming and we were constantly pulling trailers - horse, stock, flatbed, utlity, etc. We dealt with trailer blowouts monthly. ANY BRAND of tire we ran was prone to failure, the majority being E rated tires. We eventually changed all trailer tires to G rated tires (not brand specific) and rarely if ever had a tire failure after that.

The reality is that out of over a dozen trailers I have personally towed many many thousands of miles the brand of tire (or where it was made) did not matter. The load rating certainly did matter though.

The 800 lb side-to-side weight difference is inherent to the 303 layout regardless of suspension and tires (which are the same on both sides). No doubt that the MORryde IS can control the additional unsprung weight of the Sailuns but most of the additional IS weight is added to the sprung weight of the trailer.

    Hi Brian,

Wheel lug nuts are 3/4" or 19 mm. Make sure that you get a 6 point socket. The 12 point version will tear the chrome cover off the lug nut, leaving you with an oddball size. 19 mm is slightly smaller than 3/4" and will be a better fit to the lug nuts even if they are a little worn. BTW, wheel nut torque is well into 1/2" torque wrench range. A 3/8" drive torque wrench will be too small.

If those chrome caps do come off the socket size needed then would be an 18mm.

It's not a IF, it's a they will. Replace all lug nuts with solid chrome ones.

I went to the solid chrome nuts right away. Have seen too many of those capped nuts messed up.

Just replaced the Westlake 15" E tires (got them from E-trailer) on our 2017 29RS with 25K on them with 4 more Westlake tires. No problems with tires, towing and storage pressure 80psi, driving speeds 65-68mph, avoid sharp turns, curbs and road hazards. Just finished 7800 mile, 12 states road trip, 21 stops, 12 national parks road trip - no problems. I was first impressed by the tight parking ability of our RV dealer service area, now I cringe when I think about it (side loading/twisting of tires). Hey just my two cents!
