    Storing 5th wheel and leveling

If I am storing my fifth wheel at a storage facility for a month, after unhitching it, do I really need to "auto level" it ? Do the rear stabilizer jacks need to be down during this period ? No one will be in it, and the slides will remain in. (I am taking my battery with me).

Well, it doesn't need to be particularly level. Some people put the rear jacks down, others don't.

We do level our rig, so all jacks are down. We're of the opinion that it takes some of the strain off the tires while just sitting there.

That makes sense - taking the strain off the tires - Thank you ... and ooops I mis-clicked and originally posted this in the wrong place.

I leave mine at the same height I disconnect at. That way when I come to get it for the next trip I can just back under it.

I always leave nose up and put the rear down manually to take load of the tires. Nose up helps keep the rain moving instead of sitting idle. Jacks down help take some load off the sidewalls on the tires.

I had the same question. I’m storing our RV for winter now and wondering if the RV levelers should be down?. If they are down the cylinders will be exposed to the snow and weather. They might also provide more paths for mice to climb up? The only reason I can think of to leave them down might be to take some weight of the tires. But I’m not too sure if this is compelling enough. Any thoughts?

I make sure our trailer is WAY out of level when storing. Enough to make sure the normally level section of the roof has a good slope for run off.

Wondering this a bit. Probably going to leave them up.
For my tires I do overinflated them by 10-15% as per Goodyear's recommendations. So my 80psi tires are at 90psi cold now.
