303 RLS on the Washington State Ferry System ??

Looking to see if anyone has experience in traveling the Washington State Ferry System with a 303RLS behind a 2018 Ram 3500 ?? Specifically traveling from Port Townsend to Coupeville route? With the front AC unit, I/m pretty sure i'm over the 13 foot height limit... (trying to avoid a 5 hour trip around the sound)

    Thanks...

We're up here right now. I know our 13'4" wouldn't make it on the ferry - not to mention the cost for the length! When we left FT Lewis for Port Ludlow, Chimacum, and now Sequim (pronounced "Squim" around here), we took 132, 16, 3 and 19 (the Hood Canal Bridge and no tolls). It took about 1-1/2 hours is all.

Thank you for that info ! I'll have the 4-5 hour drive as I'm heading from Port Townsend to the Naval Air Station on Whidbey Island...

I've seen some pretty tall vehicles on the main ferry lines. They say give them a call if over 13'4" and I believe it all depends on schedule and route.

Low tides are a big issue on the Coupeville run. Too low a tide and your dragging the back end

Tractor/trailer units use the Washington Ferry System. Aren’t they around 14’ tall?

We've ridden the ferries on Puget Sound quite a bit - I've never seen a tractor-trailer on one.

Tractor trailers are allowed on Washington State ferries. Over 80,000 GVW requires special permission. Depends on the size of the ferry. Olympic class ferries have 16' of clearance. You really need to know your height. Up to 13'-4" is ok, over that requires permission.

Been on the Port Townsend ferries a bit and tractor/trailers are frequently on there. Also the ferries from Anacortes to the San Juans has semis on them. I’d definitely check the website as suggested by a couple of folks.

The specs show the 303 as being 12' 3". Are they really taller than that?
