Awning wires ripped out of slide

2019 Imagine 2970rl.

While opening the awning this weekend I heard a loud crash. Walk outside to find my rear awning all but hanging off the slide. The pin at the very top somehow lost the lock washer and the pin slid out while opening. I was able to get it closed and secure for the trip home, but in the ruckus the wiring ripped from somewhere inside the slide. I'm not so concerned with the arm as I know that's somewhat of an easy fix. What concerns me is the wiring and how the dealer will be able to access the wiring inside the slide wall. Has this happened to anyone else? Or has anyone had to replace the wiring for the awning?

Side note: I have three weeks left on the factory warranty. 😁

That happened to our friends 2019 Imagine while they were driving on the highway. They couldn't get it back together and ended up removing the whole awning. Grand Design replaced the arms and the dealer managed to get new wires run under warranty. Lucky they had a back window to slide the 20ft awning inside the trailer.

Well, that's good news. I sent Grand Design an email. I have no doubt they're going to take care of it. I just have my concerns about running the new wire since it's inside the wall where it broke off.
