Question Add a tip of camper care for newbie/advance be constructive

When turning on your water, from the outside spicket, always have a faucet or two on in the camper, to avoid hammering the plumbing connections.

Always roll your awning up dry and if you can't due to rain, then as soon as possible. Helps keep the mold , rot and mildew away. making it last longer.

Disconnect any hose from the black rinse connector after rinsing and let the water in it run back out (the water is clean, not sewage).

Otherwise that clean water may develop bacteria that can work its way through the Nautilus system into the fresh water supply.

Always make sure your wheels are chocked before un-hooking or hooking up the tow vehicle to the towed vehicle.

For fifth wheelers, whether or not you do a "pull test", after locking the hitch in, always visually verify that the jaws of the hitch are locked around the kingpin.

Don't let other drivers push you into going faster than you are comfortable with while towing...that is why there are passing lanes

Always check any table leafs or counter top extensions before putting in the slides. This applies to drawers and cabinet doors as well. Ask me how I know lol.

Great reminder, we would take an extra towel or two, to wipe the awning off the morning we were leaving, removing the dew. So it had a chance to dry, before rolling it up! Thanks for the reminder.

Dry Swiffer mop pads are not only a great way to stay on top of things at the campsite, they also collect/spread out the water our sloppy dog drips after every visit to the water bowl

    - Consider a couple of walkie talkies to keep in the truck. Makes it easier to quietly communicate with person helping guide you when backing into tighter spots.
    - Before deploying slides, check for obstructions. Not just outside (trees, power pole, water), but also inside, things can shift in transit and get caught/damaged between slide and wall
    - Before unhooking, make sure all your water hoses, power cord, sewer line will reach the trailer hookups. Ideally, have an extra hose and sewer line to extend when needed. Sometimes those hookups can be quite a ways form where you want to put your rig.
