I glued a piece of 3/8 plywood on the inside of the door and mounted two surface mounted paper holders on the inside of the door. No holes in the cabinet door.

What savage would pull their paper from the underside?? The correct way is to hang the roll so that the paper pulls from the top. The patent from 1891 clearly shows the correct way to hang a roll.

The proff is in the patent. Under Rollers are indeed savages.

We bought a tp stand that we put inside the cabinet so we didn't have to put any holes in the door. While camping, the door stays slightly ajar to keep from having to pull hard on the door each time. It gets closed while traveling (we do the same with the trash can drawer). Much easier to reach than having the holder to the sides in the small space.

A savage who had a cat that liked to paw at the roll - unrolling the whole thing until we learned to hang the paper the right way for our household.

Of course after we changed the way we hung it, the cat decided to express her frustration by taking bites out of the roll. Made the paper look like Swiss cheese...

Just you try telling a woman that the TP should be over the top and not underneath. Good luck with that. I gave up and decided that every time she replaced the TP roll and had it the wrong way, I wouldn't put the seat and/or lid down. Yeah buddy....two can play at that game.

We did something similar in our camper. I couldn't find an acceptable spot for the included surface mount and there was lots of air rights behind the sink cabinet. Now the roll is convenient and out of the way.

I’d be forced to go with his and hers rolls then.
