Durango to Angel Fire

We are leaving in the morning, going from Durango to Angel Fire, NM. Can’t decide weather to take 64 through Taos and across the bottom of the Enchanted Circle, or go north through Questa and Red River and drop into Eagle Nest that way. Anyone done those routes in their rigs? Any opinions? Thanks for the help.

Drove 64 last year towing my 27 rl. If your comfortable with narrow winding road and steep grades, it’s a good rad, great scenery and we loved it. We went east to west from Cimarron to Taos. Don’t be in a hurry. Hope that helps.

We did the Questa - Cimarron - Eagles Nest - Angel Fire route pulling the solitude with no issues.
