    Washer drain 395M

Picked up a 395M toyhauler a couple weeks ago.

Wanting to use clothes washer today which is plumbed into the pre prepped area in the garage.

In my previous class A units the washer was plumbed to bypass any holding tank and go directly out the main Grey water outlet to sewer.

Anyone know how this is plumbed? Be nice if the manual was helpful. Lol

I assume water will go to either the garage bathroom holding tank or directly out garage main outlet.

On our 351M the washer goes into the holding tank for the half bath, I would suspect the 395M does the same. You will know for sure if your tank fills after about 3 loads of laundry.

IT goes in the rear black /grey tank.

How we handle it is if its almost full I'll dump it before using the washer, otherwise I'll run a load and dump it. If we have a lot of laundry I'll leave it open and will close it when finished. That tank gets a lot of use with the washer, I'm not worried about stuff sticking in there. If you don't remember, it will overflow at the washer drain area and will make a mess.

I would have preferred if it was plumbed to the main tank but given the location that might not have been possible.

Once the Mrs ran a couple or 3 loads. I did not know she had, and the tank drain was closed. It did not overflow at the washer, but when I tried to flush the toilet there was a big belch (maybe a fart) of air that threw water up about head high. Took a few minutes to clean and disinfect the bathroom.

Confirmed a few minutes after posting. Definitely goes to rear bath tank.

    Thanks!

I guess what I want to know is if the bathroom and washer go into the black tank, does that mean you can use bleach in the washing machine or sanitize the lines since no bleach can go into the black tank?

Why can no bleach go in the black tank?

Likely some think it “kills” the bacteria in there to break down waste but not really relative to an RV imo

    Internet stuff I guess

I suppose you're correct, but they need to realize it's not a septic tank, it's a holding tank. Ya just want to keep the stink down.

Because many dump stations are not hooked up to city sewers. They use septic systems.... The its an RV holding tank crowd are not thinking about what happens to the contents after they dump.
