Well I started the build. Took me all day to run the two 6/2 wires from the hutch to just under the pass-through. Those are some big wires. I ran the wire along the other wires most of the way. When I got closer to front of trailer I couldn’t get wire through the floor beam. To many wires and hoses in and they filled the rest with insulation foam. Note to anyone else doing this buy a lot of wire. I purchased 40 feet of wire thinking 20 feet for input and output would be enough. It is Just enough. I have the pass-through wall cut and felt installed. It’s 7/16 osb and hope it is strong enough to hang the 50 pound inverter on. Tomorrow I will drill a hole in pass-through floor near by the nautilus panel. I plan on hanging the inverter right next to it. I’ll layout and attach all the components to wall. I’m still not sure how or where I’m bringing down the solar wires. I’m still thinking about drilling a hole in the roof and brining down closet wall. I’m just not sure how to find the right spot on roof to drill.

When I drilled the hole in my roof, I had a small area to pick from, so I checked below & above where I thought my hole should be.
Drilled a small pilot hole up from below using 12" long drill bit (aircraft bit), then used hole saw thru the roof, and then thru the ceiling.

Closet location sounds a bit like TusconJim did in his 297RSTS where he used laundry closet: https://www.mygrandrv.com/forum/show...r-Installation

Hanks for the link. The front closet does have the plumbing for a washer. There is no way to drill a pilot hole from bottom if i try and bring the wire down through the wall. I have a bore scope I will use to see what is in wall. Bringing down the outside wall might not be to bad.

Looks familiar, you posted this on the Solar-powered Grand Design Facebook group right?

ID:	22320Finally put the hole in roof. I drilled a hole from the pass through inside wall. Finished wiring up the board in pass through. Will try and install tomorrow and wire up the inverter.

A little closer to finishing. Inverter/charger wired and solar panels installed. Tomorrow going to try and release the angry Pixies.

A little closer to done I think. Finished installing the battery monitor and inverter control panel today. Nothing burst into flames so I’m figuring it’s wired correctly. Click image for larger version.
