Down Spouts on Rain Guards 337 RLS

Here in Oregon, it is time to put the 337 to bed for the winter. I keep it in the back yard and purchased a 5th wheel cover for it.
My concern is that there are 8 downspouts at the end of the rain guards that stick out a few inches. It will either get damaged by the cover or the down spouts will cut into the cover.
I did not climb up there and or did not want to start yanking at it to see if it will come off.
Any suggestions as to what I should do? GD?

Frank, I don't use a cover on our Solitude, but the folks I know that use covers place a tennis ball over the down spouts.

How about one of those foam pool noodles and cutting it to length and then slide it over spout?

I cut a slot into some golf whiffle balls (light weight practice golf balls) and slid them over the gutter extensions.

I have bougth the fun noodles with the hole in them. Cut thew to about 3" and slid them ove the spout. They help but the weight of the cover hanging on the spout has dislodged one of the spouts on the back drivers side twice. The spouts are held on with silicone.
