    28BH Converter

    Good Evening All

Is the converter that comes with the 28BH a good 4 stage charger? Is it something that I can leave plugged in or will it over charge the batteries?

Does anyone know the model number of the charger?

Pretty sure it’s considered a 3 stage converter.

I think you are right but I wouldnt consider it smart. Looking at the manual, the stages are timed not sensing.

I suspect it will work for now.

In the mean time, I need to figure out how to re-wire the keyed kill switch so nothing has battery power.

Easiest thing to do is add a switch at the battery to kill the whole system, we leave the factory switch on as a rule, use the kill switch when parked for the winter or in for service so you still have battery when you retrieve it. Winter I usually pull the batteries and maintain on a tender. Note your choice to wire the switch to negative or positive terminal. I’m on positive, but have seen the argument for negative.

This is what is in my 2800bh. It’s a 3 stage, absorption, bulk, and float modes.

I might not get them all; smoke, CO, propane detectors, radio presets, sometimes rear camera, are some. Not all of those have a breaker in the distribution center.

Do you happen to know if the 2019 2400BH has the same converter?
