Or you stop in The Cherokee National Forest. I'm here now and loving it. All the fun and amenities and half the price! Raft the Nolochucky or climb Mt. Unaka just to see the vista over the mountain ranges. The fall flowers are awesome and there are swarms of butterflys going by. There is a lot of yellow and brown in the treeline but I believe it's because it's dry. There are spots of red stating to pop up if you look for it. Ever have wild apples?

I agree, we stopped in at Cherokee National Forest for a couple of nights on our way back from South Carolina in 2016. Definitely going back. Thanks for the reminder. Frank.
