Dometic thermostat replacement

Has anyone replaced their Dometic touch thermostat with a conventional one? I’ve had 2 different 2018 Reflections that both front and rear AC units will cutoff at night and not kick back on until the morning unless I reset the thermostats. Is there something wrong with the 2018 thermostats?

I recall some people on here stating there was a problem with the cover plates causing all kinds of issues. Apparently Dometic was replacing them free of charge. I’m not sure of the date range of units. If you do a search hopefully you can find the answer.
