How does your new Ram compare to the Tundra?

    Congrats Rob.
Thanks. Yes I gave up the Tundra. The Tundra did pull the 297 pretty good and never had any complaints. Best vehicle I have ever owned. Problem was it was over 10 years old and was starting to have oil pressure drops when hot at idle and it was time to replace shocks so thought it best to trade it in before having to do an oil pump or bearings.

The Ram drives very nice, is a bit more stiff which I expected but is not harsh. Without towing got over 750 km (470 miles) on 97L (25.6 Gallons) which I never would get that range with the Tundra and smaller tank. Pulled the trailer home today and I thought the Tundra was stable but this is considerably better for stability. All in all so far very happy with the RAM for the first week. I plan to write a towing report when we get back from Myrtle Beach in a couple of weeks. Will compare mileage and towing experience with the Tundra as well. Payload is 3830 lbs compared to the Tundra's 1320 lbs. With 18" wheels payload would have been 4070 lbs on another RAM I looked at.

Congrats, we took delivery of a RAM 3500 dually, crew cab, 4x4, Cummins w/Asian and 4:10 gears three months ago. Replace 2013 RAM (same) and am totally pleased, beyond my expectation! We have made two trips to Kalispell MT since we took delivery hauling the 5th wheel. Best description is ‘this thing just flattened out the Rockies’ . enjoy it

    Happy Camping !!!

Congrats on your new truck as well. Glad to hear that it tows so well. Sounds like mine will tow the 297 with ease based on your comment about the Rockies and your Solitude.

I picked up “Lars” on Oct 16. We took off this morning starting our trip south for the winter. At the end of today, 952miles on the odometer. So far, I love this truck. Click image for larger version.

Very nice setup!! We now have 6100 km (3800 miles) on ours. Very nice truck and really like it. We leave for Florida in 3 weeks for a 2 week vacation. Will put on another 5-6000 km (3-4000 miles) on that trip This will be the quickest that I will have ever put this many km(miles) on a vehicle ever since we picked it up September 4th.

They really make some very nice and comfortable trucks.
