Fresh water valve in toilet

My fresh water valve in the toilet leaked all night and flooded out the bathroom. I stepped on the lever and it stopped. Do i have something wrong or does it just get stuck open once in a while.

Not normal. Needs to be fixed.

Into our third year and having a similar issue. The valve for the toilet is not difficult to replace, you just need to get the correct one. They are about $15. Now when we have low water pressure there is not enough pressure to make the valve close completely, thus it seeps, then fills the toilet. When I notice it we just pull up on the lever with our toe and it stops. I have the new valve in the parts drawer just waiting for a rainy day when I have nothing better to do. It would take an RV tech about 30 minutes to replace it, I plan on 4 hours, beer breaks you know.
