Cool Ordered our 3740BH-R - Fully loaded...

We placed our custom order with a local dealer last week:

    3740BH R
    Linen Decor
    King Bed
    Dual-Pane Windows
    Slide-out Awnings
    Generator
Solar (new for this year - 300 Watt panel, 2000 Watt Inverter) - I am planning on 2 Battle Born Batteries (to start with)

Needless to say, we are looking forward to our delivery in late Oct/Early Nov. We are planning a number of local trips to work out all of the kinks. We plan to go full-time in the new year and hope to boondock about 50% of the time.

I will be sure to post a follow-up once we have the rig and have had an opportunity to put the solar system to the test.

Ditto! You will love it. One word of caution. Get baskets for larger/heavy items that go in the pantry. The last thing you want is something going through the glass window as you go down the road. (Don't ask me how I know)

You will love it... However, on the day of your scheduled pick up, be prepared to possibly not take delivery or sign final papers. Go through your purchase thoroughly. check every door, drawer, cabinet, window, fixture, etc. Do things like visually inspect the battery they installed, operate the slides and awnings, etc. Also, check that any specifics you ordered (matresses, appliances, etc) are actually installed and haven't been replaced with a cheap version. Then do everything you would normally do when you camp.

While I love my Solitude, it was delivered to us in early November. We were kind of rushed and trying to beat a snow storm home, so we weren't as thorough as we should have been. I figured the GD Solitude was a luxury model of a well known brand and I would be ok... Turns out the dealer missed a bunch of things during their pre-delivery prep & check. Thankfully I caught the safety items prior to hooking up and towing, but one thing I missed is that they installed an old defective battery they had laying around instead of a new battery. Once I got it home for the winter, it seemed everything was good... until our first camping trip and we realized the battery they installed was faulty and we had to use our car to "jump start" the camper to operate the jacks. First camping trip added $300 for a new battery... which should have come from the dealership. Oh and the stock king-size mattress is an off brand that developed deep divots over about 25 nights of camping (and I'm only 200lbs).

You will enjoy it, but don't let the dealer pull anything.

Thank you for the advice! Our PDI is scheduled for Nov 6th. I am hopeful that all goes well! The dealership has been great to work with, thus far.

I order the same model and all the add-ons like you did. ( not due in till early March ) Have you had yours weighed yet? Can you take a picture of the info tag with weights and such on it? I am curious the dry weight with the gen and duel pane windows.
Im worried that will all of that the cargo capacity of the trailer will be very little!
