2020 Momentum G-Class 320G

I have never seen this asked, but if it has please direct me to the site. On the 320g or most any toy hauler, if you were to put a 2000 pound vehicle in the garage what percentage would it lighten up the pin weight? It would seem to have to lighten it up some. No other weight in the trailer just the vehicle in the garage.

Geesh………You would think with all the Momentum owners out there, you would think some would know. Would it affect the pin weigh by 1% 5% 10% or more

Before we purchased our 351M, I called GD and asked that question. We have two Harley’s, weighing right at 1600 lbs., and was told it may affect the pin weight about 300 lbs. I’m going to weigh the rig before our next trip to confirm numbers.

There is probably some way to calculate that scenario, using geometry and taking measurements involving the centerline weight as a pivot point, knowing exactly what the vehicle weighs, and distance from the centerline to the hitch.....but not being an advanced math/geometry kind of guy, going to the scales would be a much easier solution for me.

Going to the scales would involve the weighs.....
1. Truck only
2. Truck and camper weights
3. Truck and camper weight with the vehicle in the trailer.

Do your calculations for figuring your pin weight without the vehicle in the garage first. Then do the same calculation with the vehicle in the garage. Subtract the second number for pin weight from the first number pin weight and now you know.

I don't currently have the 320g yet, but I am considering buying one. So weighing the trailer is not and option. I have had my truck weight.

I have the same truck and have a 320G on order. I did put airbags on my truck in preparation for the extra payload.

I purchased the Momentum 320g yesterday then stoped by the scales. Truck has 585 pounds of people and a B&W 5th wheel hitch and air bags. The momentum 320g has 400 pounds of water in it.
