RV Park Close to Dalton, GA
We are headed to Dalton, GA later this month for a woodturning symposium, can anyone recommend a good RV park close to Dalton?
Thanks!

You have fine campgrounds on Exit 1--at the TN/GA state line on the south end of Chattanooga. It's maybe 20 minutes drive to Dalton from there.

We live in Dalton so welcome to our town.
Depending upon how far off the interstate you want to be and how far from Dalton you have a few choices.
Holiday Travel Park in Rossville, GA. It is very close to the GA/TN line and will put you about 20 - 25 minutes from Dalton. They have some good sites and are clean the last time we went through there.
Battlefield Campground and RV Park off of Battlefield Parkway. Have never stayed or driven through that one so not sure what it is like.
Fort Mountain State Park in Murray County GA. It is in the mountains and will put you about 30 minutes from Dalton. Not sure what type of camper you have, but note that Fort Mountain is a pretty good climb with a camper.
Chester Frost Park in Hamilton County TN. This is a county run park and is right on Lake Chickamauga. It is clean, water and electric only and does have some minimum stay requirements. Is about 1 hour from Dalton.
Cloudland Canyon in Rising Fawn GA. It is a pretty park, but will be a 1 hour drive over to Dalton.
Hope this helps.

That's a pretty comprehensive list from @weekender01.
A few more -
Carter's Lake (COE) would be about 45 minutes southeast of Dalton.
For boondocking you could find campgrounds without hook-ups at Chattahoochee National Forest area to the east of Dalton, or Johns Mountain WMA to the west of Dalton.

Thanks for the Input
Thanks everyone for the help. We were leaning towards Fort Mountain but they don't have any spaces available. We are towing a 303RLS with a gas F250 so maybe it's good they don't have any open spaces if the road in is pretty steep. We prefer to be away from the freeway because of the noise but I will look at the one near the TN GA state line.
Thanks again!
