Mammoth Lakes Ca.
Experience has taught our friends and us to try and avoid campground with low hanging trees when you have a Toy Hauler as big as ours.
Browns Campground near Mammoth Lakes Ca was easy in easy out.
Pricy at $33 a night and no hookups, they easily get it and are usually sold out year round.
Fisherfolk, OHV families, hikers, cross country skiers, Snowmobilers film crews, a busy place.
Nice folks run the place. Generator hours 8AM to 10 PM. Store has basics like ice and firewood and a few food items, beer and RV supplies.
Trails are amazing and fun. Some narrow and steep drops, not for the squeamish.

Trails can get narrow and hairy:
Nice stops along the routes:
Came across a free guest cabin. Stocked, a guest log and padded wide benches to sleep on

They have a couple of campgrounds including one right in the town of Bishop. Have always enjoyed our stays there.
