    Warning about Inside Steps

    Warning about the inside steps
    Be very careful coming down the steps from the bedroom, my wife had a bad fall on our last trip. The steps can be very slippery in bare feet or socks. Also the steps are curved in a way if you land on your back it will hit you in the center of the back.

    Hope she didn't hurt herself to badly.

    Our steps aren't curved but slick from day 1. One of the first things I did in the trailer was to tack down a 6ft runner going down the steps. I used double sided carpet tape and it's held really well.

    Her lower back was bruised pretty good and she was a little slow the next day, it will take time before she gets back to normal.

    I put carpet on ours as well. The bare plastic is too slippery.

    After my husband slipped on the step (I had previously done so), we purchased a rubber, self adhesive, non-skid sheet (used for shower stalls) and cut strips to put on the steps. It works well.

    We have bathroom rugs with a non-slip backing cut to size for our steps. They are slippery and friends have fallen on them.
