These are the bearings, races, and seal for my 29RS. The smaller bearing came as a kit bearing and race together. The bigger one I ordered individually.

    Thanks for the input.
I'm just doing some research to do a full replacement of all 4 of the China bearings on our 5r. Using all Timkin parts will run ~$311. Their seals are not cheap. All priced out at AMZN which was pretty much the cheapest for the Timkin parts. I would like to know what special tools I will need as to getting the races in. I think a brass punch will knock them out. In all my price hunting I did run across this odd man out.... https://www.alibaba.com/product-deta...15037.html?s=p Can you say knockoff?

You may be able to borrow or rent tool from local automotive parts store to remove and replace races. Amazon has them fairly cheap but not sure about quality.

I just had the wheel bearing fail on Monday in near Libby, Mt, far from any big city. Unfortunately it destroyed my axle and threw the rim and a brand new tire put on that morning in to the forest, probably never to be found. Should be a challenge to get my Reflection back on the road.

I think my bearings are the same as yours but seem way more at AMZN.

The info I got from Dexter was:

The Dexter Axle 7K axle use the following bearings: Inner bearing number, 25580/25520 and outer bearing 14125A/14276 . The Dexter Axle seal part number is 010-036-00.
These bearings and seal are available in Dexter Axle kit P/N K71-720-00.
You can contact bearing supply sources with the above bearing numbers and inquire where they are made. The seal is a Dexter Part number and may not cross reference to other brands. The seal dimensions are: Inside diameter is for a 2.250 inch shaft (approximately 2.220” φ). The outside diameter is 3.376” . This is a double lip seal with a garter spring for tension.

I doubt that you will be able to remove bearing races with a brass punch. The edge of the race that you can access with the punch will be very narrow. The corner of a brass punch will break away. A good quality hardened steel punch would be a better choice. Installing the new races with hand tools rather than a hydraulic press will also take considerable care . . . that brass punch might help with this.

Driving out races that are showing no signs of unusual wear after many miles, just because these bearings and races were not made in North America . . . doesn't make a lot of sense to me. Just my 2 cents worth.

We had a similar situation with our 2019 Imagine 2800 BH driving from New Hampshire to Yellowstone. However, our bearings overheated to the point of burning up and melting the hubcaps! Do you know when your trailer was manufactured and if it has Dexter axles? If so, Google “Dexter Axle Recalls- Grand Design”. I wish we’d known this before embarking on a cross country trip earlier this summer. It would have saved days in campgrounds we never expected to visit waiting for parts and service on a broken axle.

    Good luck!
