    Steadyfast install on Imagine 2670MK

DW informs me last year that being in our trailer is like being in a boat at sea. I’m not small, and apparently not light on my feet either. X-chocks didn’t do anything to help.

I looked into the options out there and settled on the Steadyfast system. http://www.steadyfast.com. Seemed well designed and had good reviews.

Ordered a system for my trailer and tried installing it a few weeks ago. I found that the drop frame up front in my trailer made the front/back stabilizer impossible to install. After tossing around a few possible solutions, I went with the simplest version...an offset plate. 1/4” thick steel 3”x5”.

Bolt the plate to the I-beam frame, then bolt the clamp bracket to the plate. Worked like a champ! Install was relatively simple after that, except it was 98 degrees that day.

Wife loves it! I find that the large “ocean wave” movement in the trailer is gone. There are still smaller vibrations, but all in all it is a great mod.

Thanks for posting. Just got the kit and ran into a similar issue with my 2250rk. Checked with Paul and he said the front/back bar could instead be mounted to the rear, which looks like it would be another workaround.

Where did you get the offset plate from?

    Hi Jim,

I made my own offset plate.

I looked at mounting the front-back brace in the rear also, but the best place for access and avoiding plumbing and electric on the 2670MK was front curb side.

    Good luck!
