how-to guide for replacing 303rls dometic fridge with residential unit

i've searched several fora and cannot find a step-by-step procedure for the subject swap-out. has anyone out there documented what was done to effect this replacement?

things like floor prep, insulating, propane line removal, dc and ac wiring rework, securing the new unit to the floor, cabinet rework, etc.

i cannot trust my refrigerator to work, continuously, any longer.

    thanks in advance.

I am ordering the 12 volt compressor insert for my existing 2118 Norcold. I am getting it from JC Refrigeration in Shipshewana IN. Their site is:
    https://jc-refrigeration.com/

The 12 volt compressor will work just like a residential refer. You can also order a 120 volt compressor insert. I just want to run it on batterries while traveling. I put in 4 Battleborne batterries and if I run refer alone, the 12 volt will go 35 days without recharge.

That way I keep original refer box and no modifications to cabinet

I went through the ringer with mine as well. If you're truly bent on doing this, I believe you need a countertop depth fridge that measures close to your rough opening once you get the old fridge out. And then you need to make your own trim pieces to ensure a good fit. Sorry, I don't know of a how to on it, but I think an older member here has done it and posted--I remember seeing something.

That said, since your sig indicates you have a 2020 rig, what I really wanted to tell you was to deal directly with Grand Design. My fridge is a Dometic, and their service left a bit to be desired. I had to get Gentry with GD involved. In my case getting both the upper and lower control panels of the fridge replaced solved the problem.
