I would get the one with the internal jounce. Are you installing the airbags to deal with squat or porpoising?

What's never been said about the Airlift 5000's is how difficult they are to assemble prior to mounting on the rear axles.
Their instructions are like reading a foreign language.
I had to finally go on YouTube to figure out how to assemble one from the pictures and then assemble the second unit bassackwards--if that makes any sense. Mounting them is a breeze.

I remember it being time consuming, but the directions and pictures seemed adequate for me. I purchased them 3 years ago, I wonder if they've changed the included instructions.

I had the Air Lift 5000 Ultimate Plus installed in July. This is the set with the internal jounce stops and steel braided air lines. Bought the simpler remote. If you purchase and have installed by a certified dealer before the end of this year they have a rebate $75 for the air bag kit and $75 for the remote for a total of $150. The rebate was a bonus for me I was having them do the installation anyway. Our business is really busy this year would not have been able to make the time to do the installation anyway. We have a Reflection 367BHS weighing in at about 14K loaded 5000# set should be good for you.

I wouldn't say they improve the ride. They level the vehicle mainly and it's more a safety/balance issue to me. I just run air in mine when loaded heavily, and empty they really firm up the ride greatly. Otherwise, I deflate them and don't know they are installed.

I just use the Schraeder valves and carry an air tank with me since I seldom tow heavy loads. Those towing fifth wheels often would do best to have the built in compressor.

When I installed my Air Lift 5000 I used 3 clamps to collapse the bag. I then put a large tie wrap around it to keep it compressed and removed the clamps. Installed the bags and cut tie wrap off.
It's like new gas shocks that have a band around for installation. Hope this helps someone.
