New here, how can we add support to dinette bed?

We just brought home a 2020 Imagine, 2450RL. Due to snoring, hubby sleeps on the dinette table made into a bed. But the table doesn’t seem like much support for a 225lb guy! Any suggestions to add support to the that area? Our old trailer we could put a board down in place of the table top, but this one has no grooves for a board to fit into. The table just collapses down to bed height. Thank you!

How about a board that fits on top of the table top at bed height?

I thought the table convert to bed had a weight limit of 150#. It is made for a kid, IMO. You might start looking at converting the two recliners into a sofa bed, it would be a practical solution if this is going to be a long term arrangement. Good luck.

We were thinking of a piece of plywood to cover the whole bed area, possibly leaving the table underneath it. Does that sound feasible?

We were never told a weight limit on the bed. Hmmm guess I could sleep there since I am under that weight! But i still don’t care for the way the table folds down for the main support.

My hubs used to snore also and more often than not one of us would end up on the couch. Neither one of us was getting good sleep. One day a couple of years ago we girls were laughing about husbands snoring and one of them suggested getting a wedge pillow. So off to Walmart I went and purchased a $20 wedge pillow to go under his regular pillow. After 10 years of misery he never snored again!!! Don’t know if you have tried everything on the market but this might be worth a try!

Thanks for the suggestions. We ended up putting plywood down over The whole dinette area. We stored the table and some of the cushions at home in our basement. We put a mattress on it, lots of pillows, so it can be used for sitting and is sturdy for sleeping. We dont miss the table at all, as we normally eat outside anyway!
