Thanks for the Amazon link. [emoji106]🏼 I just ordered a set. Definitely using one in the command center cupboard. Such a fail in design there. Before seeing this I was wondering if a little glow in the dark nail polish on the hallway switch would work.

An alternative to a light for the panel...

This won't work for everyone, but it's something to consider. Prior to taking delivery, we had our dealer install a Fantastic Fan (with a remote) in the kitchen. This made the front rocker switch under the upper buffet cabinet (below the main switch panel) redundant as it controlled the stock fan. So... I pulled the lugs off that switch, cut the wires, and used a crimp connector to join them together. I then pulled the wires for the house lights off their switch in the main switch panel above, routed them down to the lower rocker switches (required drilling a small hole in the false bottom from underneath through the hole accessible after removing the lower rocker switches), and slid their lug connectors onto the now-available front rocker switch (former fan switch). The three rocker switches under the upper buffet cabinet now control the upper buffet lights, kitchen island pendant lights, and main living area lights - in that order from back to front. Easy to find in the dark when I forget to leave a light on and, with the main house lights on, I find it easy to read all the labels in the main switch panel. We also don't have to open the switch panel door every time we want to turn the house lights on and off.

Thanks so much for this post, ordered a set from Amazon and installed one in the main panel before we left for the Outer Banks on Friday. My wife is a very happy camper now that she can find the light switches when we come home after dark....
