311 BHS hot water tank drain

I have a 2020 311BHS and was wondering if anyone has come up with an alternate drain plug for the hot water tank? The location makes it impossible to get a socket on and I hate plastic drain plugs. Thought I’d check before I started to search for something. Thanks

You can also add the drain in post #2 here: https://www.mygrandrv.com/forum/show...ter-tank-drain
I have the parts but may wait until I winterize to install it.

I also have ball valves to put on my low point drains. May make using them a little easier and I want to be able to open them like a faucet when pumping antifreeze through the system when winterizing. Probably not necessary but makes me feel better. I bought these as they were a little cheaper sold by the pair. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

BTW, while I'm no plumbing expert, I think it is better to use a pipe thread sealant instead of teflon tape on the threads when adding these drains. I was doing a little project at home and did a little research on the subject. It seems teflon tape main purpose is to make threads slick and easier to tighten with tapered (NPT) fittings and thread sealant is better at sealing. I use Blue Monster sealant since it is rated for all metals, ABS, PVC and nylon. HD carries it. https://www.homedepot.com/p/Blue-Mon...6009/306136418
