    Winterizing

OK so like a dummy I forgot to take out my water filter when I winterized my 310. So do I just leave it that way until next spring and get a new filter or do I have to get it out now because it may damage something sitting in there all winter?

Don't know that it'll hurt anything, but I'd say remove it. I always drain the antifreeze from the canister after I winterize anyway. This is essentially what you'd be doing, just removing the filter while you drain it.

Did you put antifreeze in? If you did, I don't think there would be an issue leaving it. If you did the line blowing, you will need to empty the canister because they can stay over 1/2 full of water.

I'd remove the filter and leave the casing open, the multiple freeze thaws that occurs over the winter might cause algee or mold growth in a closed filter. Once algee gets into the system it's hard to get rid of.
