Decision between fifth wheel Reflection 295 RL and 303 RL vs 29RS

I have a 2015 F250 4X4 diesel with airlift airbags with 12000 miles. Yellow sticker says payload 1880 lbs.
Really interested if anyone has preference between these two models and why? Concerned that 303 might be too much pin weight to be legal as it is 1685 lbs. leaning toward 303 but really interested in your experiences? Thanks for any info helping with this decision. Pros and cons?

    303 is fine on my 2014 250.

Payload on the 250 is artificially low.

Picked up our new 2019 303 last week. Pulled it from Missouri to East Texas with our F250 diesel. Could hardly tell it was back there and the truck did not squat in the least. Don't think you will have any problems.

Or maybe the engine weight is extraordinarily heavy? This is common in 3/4 ton diesel trucks.

With that payload of 1880 you will be over with either Reflection. I am considering the same models for the future except my 250 gas has 3200 lbs of payload. My wife wants the 303 but I think the 295 is basically the same except the extra wardrobe space.

My F250 diesel handles my 323BHS just fine. And it doesn't even squat w/o the air bags pumped up. The 323BHS has a 2K lb. kingpin weight and a 11K lb. dry weight.

You should be okay with a 303.

A quick look at the dry numbers for a 303RLS, the unloaded pin weight is 1685 lbs and the dry unloaded weight of the trailer is 9265 lbs. Fully loaded the trailer weighs 11999 lbs which will bump up the pin weight to approximately 2182 lbs, so do yourself a favour, take your current F250 load its bed and cab with all the stuff you would normally carry in the truck when camping drive to your local scales and weigh the truck. Then take that number you get from the scales and subtract it from the GVWR number stamped on the door sticker from your F250 if the number you get is less than or equal to 2182 lbs then I would say look for a bigger truck or smaller trailer. If you cross your fingers and go ahead and buy a trailer rated on the sticker as too heavy for the rating on your tow vehicle, in the event you get yourself in any accident those two sticker ratings will be your worst nightmare $$$$!

Now I can hear every nah sayer screaming "tow police" but think about this one very important fact, insurance companies are always looking for ways to not have to payout on a claim. If the numbers suggest that your trailer is too heavy for your tow vehicle, you will have given them a perfect reason to say "not covered".

Agree with wardrobe space but also trying to determine where all of extra weight is. 16” tires add a little!

Hitch weight is a little more then you listed at 1725. My 303RLS came in at a little over 1900 but I did order it with the second AC but this shouldn't account for all of the added pin weight. I think they usually get built a little heavier than what GD lists. At 20% of GVWR you will have a pin weight of about 2400 or a little more. You decide.

One thing I like about the 295 is the Turning Point Hitch which I have now and it works great and don't have a desire to go with a slider
