    Talking Heat pump issue

    OK.
    So bear with me...
    Pics attached...
    Bought brand new.. 310GK
Slide toppers, Dark Furniture (Light Tan not us)
Heat pump for back unit, therein lies the problem.
Wired incorrectly, and had to get mobile service in Chilliwack, BC.
    Uh.. GD dealer there, no.
    HOWEVER...
Most enthusiastic kudos to O'connors RV in C-Town...

Reached out to GD.. Gave me a number to reference for warranty usage for it, and basically just called O'connors and mobile there within a day.
GD, AND VOYAGER RV IN LAKE COUNTRY BC.. Up to task.
    No cost, Mobile.. Rockin dudes!
Turns out from factory, heat pump and "fan air" were mis-wired.
Only at the wall mounted thermostat unit.. (see pics)
Keith, from O'connors was Steller.. looked at everything! Including roof top unit ... etc.
now, Wintering on the Sunshine Coast, we are good to go.....
    Rock on all!

Now the only problem you have is dealing with the fact that the heat pump doesn't operate when the temp goes below 40-45 degrees Fahrenheit -- by design.

Agreed Steve, however having it not work at all is worse!
Kind of a quality control issue I'd say...
Tested out? Hmmm. Likely not for proper operation.

We tried out our Heat Pump this morning and found it to be very noisy, probably the first and last time we use it. I was not impressed with its performance, the fire place worked faster and much quieter. But that’s just me thinking out loud.

I can't imagine why it would be any noisier than running the unit in A/C mode.....same compressor, same fans, same everything. The only difference is the direction of flow of the Freon in the unit.

This past season one of our primary heating sources was a small electric heater kept running overnight with the furnace as backup. Sometimes we'd use the heat pup but normally it was too cold to depend on that. So it tended to be our least used source of heat.

In the morning we'd use the furnace to get any chill out along with the fireplace.

In the evenings we'd use the fireplace mostly.

It was nice having multiple sources of heat. We didn't find the heat pump any noisier (or quieter) on A/C or heat.

Probably because I am comparing the running volume to the gas heater and fire place. Very low noise level and more efficient.

It should have been caught when your selling dealer did a PDI also.

Sounds like failures at 2 points.

We had a similar problem with our front unit AC. The compressor and the low speed fan control wires were swapped at the t-stat. I traced it in about 15 minutes and a voltmeter. And the color codes are printed on the back of the t-stat bracket. How hard should that be?
