Done with GD
Just got off the phone with GD customer service (see cold weather camping thread). I have never been so disrespected and felt so deserted by a company as I do today. If you're looking for a new RV, buy another brand. I'll never buy another GD, and am unloading this one as fast as I can.
Poor customer service, poor quality, untruthful selling pitch.

Sounds legit to me, although I do think some of this should be intuitively obvious. You see uninsulated low-point drains, an uninsulated drain for the fresh-water tank, a half-hearted scheme to blow warm air into the underbelly... it's hard to look at that as a buyer (who is concerned about such things) and feel like the system is designed for anything other than a slight and short dip below freezing. Short of a wholesale rework of the trailer, GD doesn't have much they can do.

Given the marketing emphasis by Grand Design on their quality practices and customer service, I would have to say that customers have a right to question. Certainly there is little difference in quality from other brands at similar price points. Further there is great variability in the responses and attitudes of customer service. Most of my reported issues have been reimbursed or covered by GD,, but he attitude has ranged from really good to very poor and though reimbursement has come it has never been agreed that the time of the call.
