    Tow Vehicle for 303RLS & 337RLS

My tow vehicle will be a 2015 Chevy 2500 HD 4wd Duramax 3.73 Double Cab 6'6" box. We really like the 337RLS but wonder if the truck can handle the payload or should we go with the 303Rls?

Your Duramax should do just fine for any the Reflection fifth wheels. You might want to consider putting a set of air bags on the rear springs, however. If you're going to be towing very long distances or in the mountains, I would also suggest you install a tranny temp gauge, boost gauge and pyrometer--and drive by the temperatures.

I'm pulling a 323BHS with a 3/4 ton diesel with a 60 hp tow chip, and it does just fine. I'm on the upper end of towability due to Pin weight limitations, however.

What is the payload rating of your Chevy? My Ford F350 has a payload of 3422 pounds. I pull a 337 with it, and I'm very comfortable with this set up.

I agree with Bamaman, your truck will have zero problems with any Reflection. I pulled my 337 with my 08 2500HD Duramax no problems with that either. The 337 is pin heavy, but you have the tires and suspension for it, no problems.

Hello Glazier, Thanks for the reply! The truck I'm looking at is like yours except Double Cab instead of Crew Cab. 2015 2500HD Duramax 4x4 standard box. Sorry about all the questions but we are newbies to towing a fifth wheel or any RV. I just don't want to make a big mistake. We really want to get the 337RLS. What type of weights do you see when you are loaded for a trip? Have you made any mods to the truck? I haven't ordered the truck yet so I could go 3500 if really needed. But, I would like to stay with 2500 if I can. Thank You in advance for your time and insight!!!

I have not scaled this unit, maybe Dave will chime in when he reads this (I know he took his to the scales). You don't need modifications for the 337 with the truck you are looking at. I do have Airlift Ultimate air springs with wireless one compresor, I have a Gooseneck trailer that gets heavy sometimes at my shop. I actually run 10PSI when pulling my fifth wheel, they are not needed at all. Good luck with your decision

I scaled our 337 at 2820# pin and 12880# total...much more than I expected though we were loaded for an 8 week trip. I'd suggest the 3500 SRW for the extra payload if you haven't purchased yet and have some reserve.
