I agree!! However, this isn't the first camper I've had that is set up like this. My last couple, from other manufacturers have been the same. No idea why they do it they way... but GD unfortunately isn't the only one.

After see what is involved with winterizing a neighbor's Reflection, I realize one of the upsale points from Imagine to Reflection is the winterizing process. All of his valves are right there on the front of the panel, not hidden about the camper like on mine.

As a side note - I "T'd" off the drain line, extended the winterization line down through the mouse hole, and ran it to the T on the drain line. With the valve set to "winterize" it draws off the bottom of the tank, netting me another 6 gallons when dry camping. Adding a shut off valve to the overflow and filling the tank through the gravity port got me another 5-6 gallons.

I put a piano hinge and latch on the cover. Now easy access!

Did you see that 2 quarts of water stays in the HW heater after it is drained. Manufacturer says that is ok for freezing but I stuck a 1/4 tube in there and siphoned it out.

Agree with the stupid decision to bury the pick up hose behind a panel with 8 screws, 3 of which in mine didn’t even hit wood when it was built.

Winterization hose connector too large to fit into antifreeze container.

I checked the procedure showing where the valve is supposed to be. Supposedly right there next to the water valves and water heater. Not mine. Anyone have ideas on this?

This was my first time to winterize a GD Imagine 2450RL. No trouble finding the winterization hose but I was surprised to find the connector on the end would not fit into the gal. antifreeze container. Guess I'll make up an adaptor hose that will screw into the connector. This time, I cut a larger hole in the antifreeze container, but that ruins the container for storing extra antifreeze.

Odd, they must have used something different on my 2500RL. Dropped right in the RV antifreeze jug I picked up at Walmart.
