You guys are scaring me with the Westlake tire issues ! But don't stop
So I have about 4500 miles on my ST-380FL-R and so far I have not had any issues with the tires. Reading these posts made me go out and check again, still no issues. The tires are ST235/80R16 Load Range "G" @ 110 PSI. Pressure is consistently between 100 and 130 depending on the temperature. I have noticed the tire temperature between 120 - 140 F, they are all fairly consistent with each other. Attached are pics of the tires, maybe one of you might notice something that I don't.

We had no problems with our ST205/75R15 LRD Westlakes on our Imagine through about 3,600 miles. Held pressure just fine, etc. We would probably still have them except for uneven tire wear that resulted from bent spindles on the rear axle. After getting replacement axles installed we changed to Goodyear Endurance tires - same size and load rating. Also swapped out the original rubber valve stems with Xtra Seal metal valve stems at that time.

Exactly, the Westlake "E" tires were the talk about being China Bombs. I actually ran my China Bombs, "E" range, tires on my 2016 Solitude until just a couple of weeks ago. I changed them to Sailun tires... I probably had maybe 10,000 miles on my China Bombs and had no issues. In fact they looked so nice that my tire dealer gave me $100 for the set when I purchased my Sailun tires. I have a TPMS and watched my China Bomb constantly during the time I had them. If you treat them right, don't over weight your camper, keep them aired up to the correct amount, and try not to bang them on curbs, they may last like mine did. I changed to Sailun tires since I thought the 4 year old Westlake China Bombs held on long enough...

I wonder if the Westlake LRE tires had more problems on heavier trailers where they were maxed out. Hoping that is the case because I have 16" LRE Westlakes on the 297 and have lots of safety capacity on them. Have over 1000lbs spare capacity on each tire, only running at 2200 lbs weight on each one and they have a capacity of 3500 lbs.

+1 on the E rated reports, not G. Tip, watch the tire pressure, if one tire starts to lose air, like a pound a night, then there is a good chance it is starting to separate. A precursor to the tire failing.

No problems with my 235x60x16 Westlakes on our 377MBS Solitude. Probably close to 6K miles on them running @ 105 psi cold. I had the Sailun 637's 235x65x16 on the Fuzion 371 toyhauler we had and ran the same psi for the 3-1/2 yrs we had that trailer. I liked the Sailun's a little better due to the stiffer sidewalls.

We have over 3 years and 15k miles on our Westlake tires. No problem so far . . . but I am going to buy a lottery ticket tonight after reading this . . . and am switching to GY Endurance first of year.
