I have links for Ford, GMC and Dodge Ram tow specifications. I've been going through these, slowly, and find that the difference between a 3/4 and 1 ton and there is not a lot of difference between them, roughly 1,500 lbs. In any case, here are the links, if you are interested:

    GMC - http://www.gmc.com/trailering-towing/towing-charts
    Dodge Ram - http://www.ramtrucks.com/content/dam...NAL_2-6-19.pdf

What is your "1500 lbs" in reference to? Towing capacity? Payload? GCVWR?

Just about all three, to be honest. But yes, GVWR, to be more specific. I was in a hurry when I did the reply.

Well, 1500 lbs of payload is significant in my opinion, as is the GVWR. And honestly, about 99% of the time, most of these trucks will never reach their "towing capacity" if they are towing a 5th Wheel Camping trailer. You will run out of payload with a 5ver camping trailer long before you come close to the towing capacity.

Yes, 1500 lbs of payload is worth about 6000-7500 lbs of total trailer weight for a fifth-wheel.

Yes, mile per gallon. Although, sometime it seems as if it's gallons per mile.

If you are consciously going to exceed the rating of your power unit, then do me (an others) a favor, and post your travel plans on line........so I can stay as far away from your overloaded rig as I can.
