    Dumping - Crappy Deal!!

We got the 397TH last year and used it briefly before returning to Alaska. Before leaving I dumped the tanks. When I opened the rear discharge tank it was full... I'm still emotionally scarred! The handle had never been pulled. Flash forward 6 months and I'm back in the RV. First dump I gingerly unscrew the garden hose adapter on the rear discharge pipe and its full!!! I don't understand the plumbing. There are two discharge pipes and in the utility cabinet near the nautilus there are two grey and one black drain valve handle. Back by the rear discharge pipe there is a dump valve handle but I can't remember what it is for. Is it for the rear bathroom and is it mixing black and grey? The documentation I have for this new RV is inadequate regarding this situation.

Not sure yet how i'm going to get out of this one! What am I doing wrong?

    Thanks

The dump valve behind the wheels should be for the bathroom in the garage. The sink, toilet and if your washer hook ups are in the garage, all goto that rear black tank.

You need to double check that the valves are fully closed and seated. The gray and black tanks should have separate valves. I have thies installed at the ends of mine. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 So if the interior valve leaks I have a backup

Haha yeah the contents of those tanks is not something you want to miss the sewer hole. We've had a 4 inch stinky slinky blow on us one time mid dump, it was epic. I've never before felt so angry, stupid and embarrassed nor did I appreciate how much poo water gets gravity fed down a 4 inch pipe over 8 or so seconds it took me to close that valve. <sigh> That was 7 years or more ago now, I still remember it.
