Looking for advise. 1st the issue then what I have done.

While parked long term last winter under pine trees some sap must have been left on top of kitchen slide. I noticed the interior bulb seal at the top came off the track. Popped it back on to get to our workcamping gig for 6 months......the last couple weeks have been moving a lot and tried a quick fix...

I took seal out and wiped clean and 303'd it. Then I cleaned up any residue on top of the slide. This is on the inside edge.

What I noticed was the tape going along the edge got rolled up some and was adding to the stickiness. I cleaned up the residue and ran a piece of duct tape about 2 feet to help......duct tape was rolled back in 1 spot.

So either I missed some residue, or duct tape was a bad idea (I do have the black roof tape if better to try).....or both

So, do I try carefully cutting out the rolled up tape and use the black roof tape? Best residue cleaner? Used wd40 and dawn.....

Do I put a small thin plate of some kind......I am at a Habitat build in Blacksburg VA for 2 weeks....

Thanks....
