    Anyone installed a fridge fan?

These fans sit on the cooling fins and move air around making the Dometic/Norcold more efficient by distributing the cold air. Otherwise these RV fridges have no air movement which is why they cool so inefficiently.

I have a battery operated Camco fan which seems to work ok but the output isn't very much. I'm thinking this fan would have a lot more output.

Here's a video on installation. Seems pretty straightforward:

At last year's Rally a service tech for the refridgerator company stated emphatically NOT to install these fans. See post #65 from this thread: https://www.mygrandrv.com/fo...ght=road+rally

Tom - When reading your post in the link, it's discussing "External fans". The fan that is being referenced above is for inside the food storage area to keep the cool air circulating. This should have no effect at all on the external function of the refrigerator, but allows for circulating the air inside. That is similar to using one of those "D" battery fans you can purchase at Camping World or on Amazon.

That was my thought as well but the battery operated ones also take up some real estate.

Talking about fridges,i use the D battery fan one,at least it does move air around, just don`t pile food to solid above it on the shelves,I find it works best on the bottom self. Anyway, the slide temp fin on the fridge refrig fins, adjust it up or down for colder temps and any idea how far ,in inches, for each 5 degrees or so .
