Goose ball set: Part number B&W GNXA2061; $299
Chain set: Part number 49151 (this is the 20K chain kit); $68

    NEXT QUESTION. . . . For those who ordered NEW 5th wheel trailers. . . . .
    1. Was it best for the dealer to order/install the parts above at the time of delivery and the price for the goosebox, etc. lumped into the total cost?
    2. Or did you bring in the parts loose and have the dealer install?
    3. Or other options?
    4. And. . . . If the dealer installed on the brand new trailer, is there any trade in value for the original pin box?

    Thanks!

PS: I have the Ford factory puck system
Looks like I have the same parts and Ford under bed hitch setup you settled on. I had the goose box sent to the dealer and had them install it prior to me picking up the toad. I don’t have the king pin rails installed in my bed, so this made it easy. I don’t recall what I was charged for the install, though do remember that I came out well ahead when I sold the OEM King Pin.
The one thing to be aware of! My dealer apparently was not familiar with the Reese Goose Box and adjustable air shock. He forgot to air up the shock which made for an incredibly rough tow home. It took me a few minutes of research to figure it out and I haven’t had a problem since. Just need to check the pressure before towing the rig when it’s been sitting for a few weeks.

To be honest, it is not difficult to change out. You just need to ensure you have the right size wrenches and socket for your (right sized) torque wrench (250lbs).

A couple of suggestions, have two Brawny people to make it easier. And, use your tailgate to install the GooseBox; lower the camper into position over the GooseBox, versus, holding it in mid-air to install the bolts. Also, before your final torque, test the fit of the 5th wheel on your truck to ensure proper ride height.
We installed the Reese GooseBox ourselves. Took two guys and about an hour. One note if you do install it your self, use the landing gear to raise and lower the camper to the GooseBox using your tailgate, don't try to hold it up in the air using muscle power alone. This makes for a pretty simple install.

FYI, we ended up sticking w/ the stock Morryde pin box and getting a B&W companion hitch. My dealer would only install the goosebox if it was purchased from them and then charge a bundle for labor. Bottom line (as I recall), the goosebox was going to be about $1000'ish more as compared to the B&W and I had to draw the line somewhere. No regrets as I'm very happy w/ the B&W, however I can also see lots of advantages of the goosebox. Maybe next time. . .
