    power meter

    hello people
    i have an imagine 2600rb. i'm trying to install a spartan sp-vm100a meter. all is good up to connecting the negative battery cable to the shunt at the control panel. problem can't find the negative battery cable. its grounded to the frame.
    what to do?

    There will be a ground at the control panel that you can use. Ground is ground so whether you connect direct to the battery negative or to the ground at the control panel it is the same thing.

    Ok thank Rob
    Those instructions seem to be for perfect conditions. The first time i hooked it up i plugged into the ground with all the 12v neutral wires The only reading was the volts nothIng else. Ill hook it up again and give it a minute. See what happens.

    The shunt for that meter needs to be connected in series with the negative cable + two wires from the shunt into the meter so it measures amps thru the shunt.

    There was another install a bit like this: 12 Volt Power Meters https://www.mygrandrv.com/forum/show...l=1#post208544
    Two shunts were used.
    One to measure current out of the converter into the fuse panel.
    One to measure current in/out of the battery.

    The attached drawing shows a shunt wired in near the fuse panel.
