We are looking forward to the rally. The ladies at the resort are very nice and helpful making your reservation. She even asked if we wanted morning or afternoon shade.

As you might imagine, things have accelerated quite a bit since we opened registration last week! Unfortunately, the demand for the registration desk at BethPage was substantially higher than we expected, and we gave them one heck of a surprise when the phones started ringing off the hook... Thankfully the team at Bethpage are awesome, and were up to the challenge, and as of Friday night, there were 180 sites reserved (and an additional 200 voice mails to be reviewed!!!).

As a reminder - if you reserve a site, you must purchase a ticket. If you don't purchase a ticket, we can't confirm you are a Grand Design owner, so either get in touch with us to let us know what your plans are (those without a Grand Design will have their reservations refunded, so we want to make sure we have all our folks covered!) or go ahead and purchase your event ticket at the link above!

We've added an Attendee Map (more like a registrant map) to the site, so you can see where your neighbors are coming from. This can be viewed on the GDMARally homepage at http://www.gdmarally.com/rally2020/map/

We hope all are well, and stay warm!

THANK YOU to all our Veterans active and retired, and their families . God bless.

Was the reservation desk closed for the holiday? We tried calling Friday and Saturday to make reservations and the phone just rang away.

Hi Rob and Nikki, looking at Bethpage's website, looks like the campground "open/close dates are 3/22-11/15" they give a need help number 877-570-2267. I believe I used the 804-758-4349 when I booked. If you need more help , go to the 2020 Mid Atlantic rally page and go to contact wagon masters at [email protected]
    Hope this helps you out.
As always, safe travels and good health.

Hi Rob and Nikki, JJ here again.
I was texting with Bob, the wagon master, he believes that they are still there. He thinks they may have been closed for the long weekend. Try again on Monday, use the 804-758-4349 number.

    Hello all.
I have an update from Bob.

It's been about a month since our last newsletter, and despite heading into the RV off season, we still have quite a bit of news to share!

The biggest news item we need to share is that on December 14th, members of the Mid-Atlantic Owners' Rally delivered our donation to the Portsmouth Fisher House for an incredible $20,000! Read more about the event on the website here!

Registration is still open for the 2020 event, and we have hit an incredible milestone. As of last week, we had over 240 site reservations! This is an incredible amount of interest in a very small amount of time - we have more folks signed up in the first 2 months of our 2020 campaign than we did in the entirety of 2019! We have a bunch of sites still available, but I would recommend making your reservations soon, since the good sites are the ones that go first!

We were able to sneak down to Bethpage to take measurements and start developing the site plan, and man do we have some neat ideas! Stay tuned, we will be sharing the formalized plans as they develop, but we are getting excited, and there are still 292 days to go (holy crap time is flying - it will be here before you know it!).

On an administrative note, we have applied for, and have been granted, our PA Nonprofit status, which means we will be able to save more of our resources for our charity than for the tax man!

On behalf of myself and my partner wagonmasters John, Ashley, Gary and Alicia, we want to wish you the warmest of holiday seasons, amd a truly fantastic 2020. Your participation, your dedication, and your on-going support allow us to truly make a difference!

If you have any questions don’t hesitate to reach out to us at [email protected]!

As always, safe travels and good health.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Years

Hello and good day to all .
Hope you enjoyed the super bowl yesterday, it was a good game for both teams.
Here is an update from Bob for the Mid-Atlantic Owners rally.

Current Stats as of February 2, 2020
Sites Reserved: 259 Tickets Sold: 218 Total People: 498
It is amazing that the event is only 8 months away - so far, but coming up fast!

It is incredible the amount of growth we have seen in the last several months! We are already more than 1/3 of the way to the event date, and 2/3 of our sites are already booked. Just wait until the warmer weather, when folks start taking a more concerted look at their schedule, and we will be full in no time!

As we start more detailed planning, one of the things that is important to many folks is the available seminars/sessions. In the past, we have tried to figure that out on our own, but we are looking to widen the audience and see who would like to share their experiences. Please visit the Potential Topics page at http://www.gdmarally.com/rally2020/topic-requests/ and see if there are any topics you would like to discuss/proctor, and if so, let us know! We are aggregating this list on the Facebook Group at the moment, but will share that out via email as we start filling it in (we did say we would be more careful to balance the FB and email messaging...)

One thing we wanted to stess is the importance of purchasing your event ticket after making your reservation with BethPage. With an event this size, we rely on the ticket sales to finance the purchase of materials, services, etc. While we are not 100% full, that will change rapidly once the weather warms up. So, with that said, we have added a time limitation on all new reservations that will require you to purchase your ticket within 30 days of your campsite registration. We think that this is a fair balance, but if for whatever reason you run into an issue, feel free to reach out - we want everyone to have the same opportunity, but we also know that sometimes things don't always fit into one mold.

We have made a ton of progress, and continue to move forward - we have started planning the vendor paddock, and more formal site plan. Bethpage has been fantastic to work with, and they continue to support us however they can! We look forward to warmer weather and the ability to get out camping!
