Generally, No. trailer is stored at home so fridge is full and cold when we hit the road. It is a 6 cubic foot Dometic. With the freezer full of ice cream and ice to fill the space, we have never had an issue when on the road for 3 or 4 hours. Our drool machine requires a pit stop and walk every couple of hours. When we stop, I turn the propane on and set to the coldest temp. That 30 minutes seems to help.
