Using Coffee Machine Cleaner
I was planning on cleaning my espresso machine. Do I need to worry about the cleaner damaging the tanks? It contains lactic asid.

You could always go old school and clean the machine with vinegar and be safe. Don't have an answer for lactic acid, it likely won't hurt anything but guess one never knows!

Won't harm a thing especially with the low concentration in coffee machine descaler.

Just use lots of water down the drain and let it flow through the tank.
