GD Rep at Show Told Me.....

Wife and I went to a RV show here in Portland Oregon Friday. While looking at some new Grand Design Models, we were talking with one of several reps from the factory. In the conversation, the rep said that as of two weeks ago, all Reflection models are shipping with Goodyear tires! I hope he is correct and was allowed to give out this information. Can anyone confirm?

Hopefully, if that is a true statement, they are the Goodyear Endurance and not some other model of Goodyear tires. The endurance has been doing pretty well for a ST rated tire.......some of the others, not so much.

I believe the Endurance tire only comes in a E-rating. I wouldn't think a E-rated tire would do for a heavy trailer like your Momentum. I believe the Momentum tires come with a G-rated tire.

Goodyear G614 is the "go to" tire for the heavy rigs. Endurance is for the light rigs.
SOLD my 2017 Momentum 376TH being pulled by a 2014 Ford F-350 Lariat, FX-4, Crew Cab, Longbed, Dually. Not pulling the 5er, catch me on my 2013 CVO Harley Ultra Classic.

Oh, I have no intention of switching to one. As you said, mine has LRG tires on it, the Westlakes, and they are doing well. I run a good TPMS, keep them inflated properly, and so on. Unless something better comes around when I'm ready for tires, they will most likely be replaced with the Sailuns or the Goodyear G614s.

Yes, the REFLECTION lines are shipping with Goodyear Endurance tires.

No change to any other lines that I know of.

Interesting news, Steve. Are you in the know as to what prompted the change now ? What is the impact on pricing ?

The change came because of the customer input and owner rally input.

    Price went up $400.

Gary - the 205s and 215 are "D" rated and the 225, 235, and 255 are "E" rated per the GY website. Over the nearly 3 years since the Endurance release, I recall a few folks installing "D" and "E" tires depending on the RV posted size at build.......and maybe a few stepping up as well.
