    leak in ceiling 2016 reflection

We have a 2016 303rls reflection. This past September I noticed bubbles in the ceiling around the air conditioner.I phoned our dealer and was told to take pictures and send them, which I did.So more pictures of the roof were required and more time went by.
Yesterday I got an answer, because the warranty was up in July and I had not maintained the sealant of the unit they denied any help to fix the problem, this ceiling was soaking up water long before the warranty ran out, but, because I could not prove that I checked the sealant every 3 to 6 months, denied.
I was not aware that we had to quote "clean-up and re-sealed "areas of sealant that were done at time of the built even though none of the sealant was missing
dried out or cracked,it is in granddesigns owners warranty manual.
This answer was from granddesign .
I did follow up and mention that I did not believe the sealant was the problem ,because I wash my unit quite often and I pay attention to areas that are sealed for any showing of wear and that I thought the problem was a leaking air conditioner seal, but, just wasting my breath.
So in conclusion I mentioned that I could prove (to the dealer)that I have a "piece of junk coach with a rotting ceiling."

    my rant

Have you ever checked the drain holes in the A/C pan?

Have you ever tightened the 4 bolts that hold the outter a/c to the inner panel?

If I remember correctly, sealants have a 90 day warranty.

One of the bolts was backed right off, like it had never been tightened ,the others were loose.
Huntr70 do you know the torque # for the A/C bolts ?

I don't know that there is an actual torque rating on them. The Coleman units have guides on them, Dometics usually get tightened a turn past finger tight.

You don't want to go crazy with them as it will just crush the gasket.

Really is a yearly maintenance item, as the vibration from the compressor will back them out.

If you have a Dometic ac their specs say 40 to 50 INCH pounds for the ac bolts. A dealer once told me the ac bolts should be checked once a year. That’s most likely your leak. Go to Dometic web site or what ever brand you have and read the instructions for installing an ac unit that can also answer your questions. Jim

40 to 50 lbs. is what I was told,I tried that ,but, the nuts were checking so tight at 30lbs I was sure I was going break a bolt or squash the a/c seal so I stopped.
