    Help

    Transcend 2019- We love it but....poorly put together. Many parts never sealed= rain coming in. Converter busted. Door doesn't work. This is in our first 6 months. We have been without our "brand new" trailer over 2 months now for service because it wasn't put together right. Help

    Have you contacted Grand Design directly? Or are you just working with your dealer?

    Hello chemist-

    Grand Design has been helpful to a point. WE have requested to speak with someone higher up than service in the company. We would like to see if it is possible to start with another trailer that wasn't so hastily put together. It's understandable to have issues with a trailer, but not to this extent. The shower pan , vent to outside and other areas were never sealed from rain. Water just poured in. We have gotten nowhere with requests to speak to someone "who can help" us at Grand Design. We are therefore simply left without a trailer while we are also paying for one. Any suggestions are welcome. Thank you for responding.

    Don't ask to speak to someone higher up, just do it. Try emailing Jerry McCarthy, a GD VP, @ [email protected]. Include photos and any other documentation you have. Explain the facts and your disappointment with the level of quality and service you've received. Include the name of the dealership that is performing your work. It's worth a shot. You may not get a new trailer but you may find some significant help here.

    You just got the best advice above about contacting Jerry, if Jerry can't get it done no one will. BUT don't hold your breath on a replacement trailer, from what I understand GD will bend over backward fixing what you have but will not replace it without legal intervention.
