Hitch questions
So, as you may notice in the main Momentum forum, our RV is now on order and I have to start making some decisions. Like: what hitch to buy? I've got a 2014 Ram 3500 DRW with the factory tow package (that is, the bed already has holes.) Given that I needed the mega cab for our dogs, I really want a slider hitch. I'm leaning towards B&W and Reese, but I can only find a Reese solution for the pre-drilled holes that also has a slider. Any thoughts and help would be greatly appreciated!

If you can get a Pull-Rite SuperGlide to fit your Ram setup, that's what I would recommend.
Have done a bit of research myself, and one of these days I'll get one.
The only drawback (for me) is it takes more than one man to remove it from the bed.

I like the Pull Rite Superglide. You can get a super rail kit that leaves the bed clean also. Here is a great place to purchase and then a local dealer install.

You would be better off having someone pull out the factory prep, and putting in whatever system you want.

Thanks for the suggestions so far! We're leaning towards the Pullrite Superglide (DW probably couldn't reach the handle on a manual slider) - but I'm still open to any and all ideas!

WRP--we have a 16K Superglide in our Silverado and it works well. This is our first fiver so my hitch knowledge was limited. However, I quickly learned that the SG is very highly rated. Keeping the slider tubes/blocks clean and lubricated takes a little more time but I keep our hitch covered in addition to our bed cover when not used so this process is minimal. We are a little unique in that we were lucky enough to find a one time used 303 at a tremendous price (we were ready to buy a new 337) and we had the owner include the slider in the deal. Our Silverado with a 6.5' bed does not really need a slider but it is nice to have just in case for that situation that may arise.

Thanks again, all, for the inputs. We decided on the super glide after we noticed that DW couldn't reach across the DRW "hips" on the pickup to get to a manual pull handle. Should be in this week!

There are many options out there for hitches. Personally I bought the Andersen hitch. I had the SG and had height issues and it required me to reverse the truck to get it to release. . Otherwise it is a good hitch. I have the same truck as you and I need to use the bed when not towing. The Andersen hitch I bought uses the Gooseneck ball, weighs only 75 lbs, removes in less than 3 minutes and only cost $400. It is approved by both Grand Design and Lippert. (The frame manufacturer).
