Sounds like you did your homework before ordering the 310 and getting some nice upgrades. I'd also consider upgrading the tires to maybe some Sailun's or Goodyears. Now for the waiting part which always drove me nuts when ordering a tow vehicle! Congrats on ordering.

    Thanks!
I think my dealer said somewhere around six weeks. GD recommended we order by early December to allow for the MORryde thing.

We had lunch with Tucson Jim and his wife Ginny while we were staying in Tucson (of course). I told Jim we were planning to take delivery in Augusta, GA, and pull the unit back up to Elkhart to have the IS and brakes installed. (It wouldn't have been a big hardship for us as we have friends and a grandbaby on a straight line from Augusta to Elkhart.) Anyway, I sent Jerry McCarthy an email, called MORryde, and the rest is history. It's not the first time GD has done this, but they haven't done this too many times so far according to MORryde.

Yeah - we have Sailuns on the Reflection and are in a quandary as to whether or not to replace the LRG Westlakes right out of the chute.

I had the Sailun 637's on the 371 Fuzion toyhauler we bought new in Nov '14. Being a Chinese tire I was skeptical about them but boy I was wrong. Had them 3-1/2 yrs and zero problems. Traded the Fuzion on a Solitude that came with the G rated Westlakes and they've been OK so far with only about 5K on them. Plan to go with some Sailun's when the Westlakes wear out. Short trips until the wife retires and then upgrade to Sailun's and probably brakes and suspension.

From Grand Design to MOR Ryde, boy did you do it right! I wish Grand Design offered disc brakes and the IS suspension as a factory option.

I don't see MORryde in GD's immediate future. Jerry McCarthy did tell me, though, that they will start offering disc brakes as a factory option on their 7,000 lb. axles starting in January.

Just to close this tangent in the discussion - our order was placed 11/5, build was Complete 12/5 (not sure that included the PDI stop), it was shipped 12/9 and it should arrive 12/13 (or so - just got snow and it’s a 1,900 miles trip).

This is 7 days late which isnt bad consider some of the weather they’ve seen in the last 3 weeks.
